The Hopewell Police Department needs your assistance with an ongoing investigation into a robbery.

On June 17th, during the evening, police responded to the VFW Club located on Winston Churchill Drive and South 1st Avenue.

The victim reports while she was in this parking lot, she was approached by the suspect. After displaying a handgun, dark in color, this individual struck the victim several times and took her money. As the victim fled, she heard several gunshots.

The suspect is described as a black male 5'3" tall, with a dark complexion and appeared around 20-25 years of age.

Police need further leads on this incident and are requesting your help.
