Crime of the Week

Imagine pulling into your driveway and being approached by two masked men waiving a handgun and demanding your money. These same subjects tell you to let them in your house and then proceed to rob you. It's a horrible scenario but this is just what happened to a citizen of Prince George County.

This week, authorities need your help to solve and armed robbery and home invasion. On September 14, 2003, at approximately 3:40 a.m., a young woman and her daughter were returning home, when they were approached by two masked men. One of the men displayed a silver handgun and demanded that the woman let them in her house. The suspects ordered the woman and her daughter to face the wall. They then proceeded to rob the woman of an undisclosed amount of money and property.

The victim described one of her attackers as being approximately 5'3" tall and weighing 135-145 lbs. The other suspect was described as being approximately 6'1" and 155 lbs.

If you have any information about this armed robbery and home invasion, please contact the Hopewell/Prince George Crime Solvers. In Hopewell call 541-2202, or in Prince George call 733-2777.
