July 17, 2007 This morning at 2:45AM police responded to the 11400 block of Cedar Run Road in reference to a home invasion. According to the victims they were awakened by the sound of their side door being forced open. They encountered three masked black males two armed with black semi-auto handguns and the third armed with a semi-auto handgun described as black and silver. The three were further described as one being 6’2” (stocky), the second 6’0 (skinny) and the last short and stocky. The suspects assaulted two victims by striking them in the head and took an undisclosed amount of cash, one handgun, and an X-Box 360 before fleeing the area. Injuries to the victim’s were minor and no medical attention was needed. A police K-9 tracked into the woods from the rear of the residence and concluded on Cedar Run Road. Police are investigating another home invasion that took place in the 16000 block of South Crater Road on June 26, 2007 at 1:50AM. Three masked black males one armed with a shotgun described as rusty, another armed with a handgun, the third armed with an unknown weapon forced the front door open. The suspects assaulted one victim by pushing them to the ground and then ransacked portions of the home and two vehicles before leaving with jewelry and car keys. Due to the similarities of the
occurrences, detectives have not ruled out that the two incidents may be
