Prince George County Police needs your help in finding the person that threatened to blow up a local restaurant. On January 15 of this year shortly after 7:30 at night the call came in to the Shoney's Restaurant on Oaklawn Boulevard. It was an older sounding male who said he was going to blow up the building and then hung up the phone, he gave the teenage worker no reason for making this unprovoked and frightening threat. While no explosives were found, incidents of this nature do cause a tremendous inconvenience for businesses as well as their customers and are taken very seriously. A great deal of public safety resources is also committed to these calls leaving them unavailable for true emergencies. This week Crime Solvers need your help to find the persons responsible for damage to an ATM Machine. Shortly after midnight on Friday November 11 someone tried to break into an ATM Machine at the Fort Lee Federal Credit Union on Crossings Boulevard in Prince George. Investigation revealed that the machine had in fact been severely damaged but there was no suspect to be found. A police canine team followed a track to a nearby neighborhood but were still unsuccessful in finding the person responsible. Although no money was taken, damage to the ATM is listed in the thousands of dollars. Police believe that a light skinned male may have been responsible for this crime and need your help to find him.
